*casually aquatints one of my selfies*
i used sharpie as the acid resist for this one it worked REALLY well holy shit. much more precise than painting with hard ground and i didn’t have to wait for it to dry god bless
one of my favorite prints so far!
i made an etching drawing of my hand, drypointed scribbles on top of it, then aquatinted about five layers of splotches with a large flat brush.
pictured: copper printing plate, print with ink wiped with tarletan and phone book paper, and hand-wiped print.
in case you didn’t hear!

!!!! I MADE A PAINTING THAT I DONT HATE TODAY!!!!!!!
& a palette shot cause I always think those are interesting. our teacher has us working with the primaries and white, except the primaries are mix of a pure pigment and an earth tone (or black) so there’s a bit of a challenge in mixing certain colors.
